Smart Communications released the Philippines first ever mobile all-in-one messages services named “UZZAP.” As according to the press release of Smart:

Uzzap is an Internet protocol (IP)-based, downloadable application which allows users to merge several messaging services such as SMS, instant messaging, and email into their mobile phone.

Aside from integrating these services, Smart Buddy Uzzap also allows users to join common-interest chatrooms, set up chat conferences, and use “extended messaging,” or connect with other Uzzap users. More importantly, the application allows users to enjoy real-time, unlimited access to their existing accounts on other instant messaging networks popular in the Internet, all via their handset — allowing users to stay connected anytime, anywhere.

Guys, the cost for the said chatting sessions will be P25/day with 100 free text messages and right now the Uzzap is on trial period and free from July 6 to 20. Try it coz I’ll try it right now and see if it will be a nice or a lousy feature of Smart.

(I don’t know if this was the “confidential” from Smart that Alfonso was referring. Oh well thank you Alfonso at least I have visited Smart today and write something about this Uzzap. Thanks!)

Update: Free trial of Uzzap is extended to August 31, 2008. I’ve tried it with the cellphone of my wife with no load and I successfully downloaded and installed it but the problem later is it did not work in the morning. It requires you to load to make use of the 3G features. I’m still checking its use and I can’t still make the conclusion about this new feature of Smart.
