“The Challenge” concluded today and Juan Manuel Marquez (known as one of the best boxers to come out of Mexico and a sure bet for a spot at the boxing’s Hall of Fame with a record of 48-4-1) dethrone the depending ring magazine lightweight champion of the world Joel Casamayor (a gold medalist from Cuba in the 1992 Olympics, he also scored two world titles in two separate divisions with a record 36-3-1). This is one of the best that I have watched in television today. Joel Casamayor was knocked down on the 11th round of their fight. Marquez vs Casamayor tought fight was one of a kind because both fighters were known to be greatest counter punchers of their division. At first the result of the Marquez vs Casamayor was still unknown because both fighters shows great punching powers. But in the end, Marquez prove his methodological fighting style to steal the crown from the Cuban Olympic medalist Casamayor.
In his interview after his victory of the fight, Juan Manuel Marquez declared his desire to fight Manny Pacquiao in the ring. That’s the reason that he climb up his weight to 135 pound but on the other hand Pacquiao is preparing for his fight with Dela Hoya this December and boxing analysts don’t think that Pacquiao will go back to the lower division. Well we just don’t know what will happen next after this victory of Marquez. The question right now is that if there is a Pacquiao vs Marquez rematch in the future? Well let just see what will happen next to the boxing world. For now, Congratulation Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez which I considered one of the toughest opponent of Manny Pacquiao.
