The national campaign for the Philippines election 2010 started today and despite the massive information campaign of the presidential candidates via different infomercials on TV, internet, newspaper and radio, still I am not decided on who among the presidentiable will be the one that I will give my vote. I can’t still choose from any of them. I have watched several presidential forums and listen to their platforms, wise judgments and remarks but still it is enough for me to decide to select them.
Now, the election is set on May and I still got several months to think and analyze the platform and qualifications of the leaders before I finally decide. I embedded a poll here on this post and I hope you could cast your vote.

Personally, I think that Noynoy is mainly running “lip service”, because he is a people pleaser, a ‘muppet, an in-experienced leader, and will not be a good president for the Philippines. He will promise a better economy for our country but the poor will continue to get poorer as his sister ‘Kris’ may own a new ‘Gateway’ mall. One of the main reasons he has run for president is so that his family can stay in power since after his mother and father are gone. He hasn’t passed any laws or bills, his family hasn’t done much to help this country even when Corazan Aquino was president.
When Aquino was in power after the Marcos regime, they only restored the old oligarchy. They overlooked the poorest poor and asked us to pray for our country on our streets and to honor the spirit of Edsa, which is actually the spirit of the people, and not just any one particular political icon. If he is president, no doubt will he be strongly influenced by those already in power to make decisions that will be directed to mainly help the concerned parties, instead of the interests of the general public, and the poorest poor.
I am for low-cost housing, for helping alleviate poverty in our country at all costs and will vote for a candidate that doesn’t need to use his position for political or financial gain. And that candidate is definitely not Noy Noy Aquino. People who will vote for Noy noy are blinded by the fact that Noy Noy is paying them “lip service” and cannot see past their own nose to see the truth that surrounds them.
Shall we all just pray for a better economy? We need a man of action, who is persistent, and willing to give from his own workings, to provide financial aid to the impoverished, micro-businesses to women, subsidized rice, programs to give free scholarships, keep children in schools, provide low cost housing, someone with experience in staying the course and not giving in to any political pressure as a leader.
Trust me, this person is not Noy Noy Aquino. Charismatic and appealing as he may seem, he is not who God would want to be the leader of this country if we should truly care about helping this country come out of poverty. This is our role also as the leaders of a free nation, that we guide the decisions of our brothers and sisters to make the right choice.

I will vote for Eddie Villanueva!!! We need a RADICAL CHANGE in our beloved country! A President with intelligence,strong leadership experience, courage, determination, perseverance, strong moral value are not enough!!! We need a President that has been RADICALLY CHANGED from within the inner core of his soul by the Almighty God! Do not doubt Eddie Villanueva! i just dont get it why filipinos are siding with the aquino on this one. election today is the most important for us, why? because our country has been stuck deep down when it comes to our economy, security, poverty and all that. election are happening every 6 years and if we dont get it right this time we will surely be down again and again for 6 years. our votes must not be influenced by the names of the past. i really dont think noynoy deserve this no. 1 spot each and everytime. noynoy when he was in senate didn’t do anything nor pass any laws for his countrymen and now he’s stating no corruption if ever he will be the president, is that all he can provide for the people i think i will still favor people who are corrupt but not so much but can do more to uplift the drowning status of the philippines. where was noynoy when farmers were killed in hacienda luisita. he cant do anything coz he doenst have his own decision. that will lead our country to death if ever he will be positioned at the top.
OMG!!! is that ur basis of voting a president with just a good history or a good track record… a leader with just good history but has no brain will not help us, how will he manage our country w/o even thinking. does a good morale/character will make a country run? even in his commercial he doesn’t even think. did u see his commercial showing a good road and a poor one and connecting it to corruption, did u know that GMA made a lot of highways on her term compare to the sum of highways made by the 3 previous presidents including late cory aquino… so does he mean or does he admit that her mother is corrupt? and remember what happend to \MENDIOLA massacre\ or even \luisita tragedy\, is that a family with a good history?

If they passed so many laws but at the end they themselves are benefactors of that laws, I will choose the one making laws for the benefit of everybody and not for himself.
If you put the resumes of all the leading contenders on a table side by side one will clearly shine out among the rest. I am referring to that of Senator Manny Villar.
Do you own research and you will see what “management” qualifications really are. It is evident in just his Business efforts what kind of “manager” Manny Villar really is.
For the “past few years” while in politics Noynoy Aquino has displayed a lackluster ability to perform his duties. Among all of the Senators he has been personally credited with just 2 laws being passed. That is right at the bottom of the list with Jamby Madrigal who has 0. The most impressive record is held by Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago with Senator Manny Villar at second place.
It is not genetics that make someone a great leader. Determination, inspiration, ability, among other things that make a great leader. If you remember Noynoy did not even want to run initially. The death of his mother and the urging of her supporters is what egged him on.
Who do we place in highest position in the land? Somebody that can lead our country into the future that has a proven track record of success. That someone must have shown a constant love and support for the Filipino people and demonstrated such by having constantly used whatever power he has to better their lives. Not just by handing out money or entitlements but by encouraging them and providing them with the means and training to be able to attain their own success through entrepreneurial endeavors.
Only one among the candidates has done any of these things to the level that that is required of a person seeking to be president.
That person is Manny Villar. ;o)
I want noynoy aquino as my president.I think he is the one who has the ability to manage our country with a clean politics.For the past few years we all know that their family has a clear record about graft and corruption.He is the one having the blood of Aquino which is proven to be a good leader.We need to vote wisely for the sake of our future.
I hope the Filipino votes wisely and based on their what they really believe.
