CEBU SEO CONTEST Roxas City, Capiz - While the Busby SEO Challenge is about to end and UK Webmaster World’s kabonfootprint contest already started, a local SEO contest was announced by PHblogger dot Net. The key phrase to optimize for the said SEO contest is Cebu Seo Contest. It is actually entitled as Pinoy Blogger: Cebu SEO Contest. I have seen this when a fellow blogger and participant on the said SEO contest support us on our battle on the Busby SEO Challenge by making his post about it (I think its Mucho Libre, “Thank you pre and Good luck!”). So I checked on the said Cebu SEO Contest because I am also interested and since last year I am really fond of practicing SEO. I found out that the said SEO contest already started a long time ago, I think last June 23 and will end this September 8. So if in case I will join the said Cebu Seo Contest, I said to myself, I will definitely lost against those entrants who already established their position. When I know about this, I asked my students to participate to the said challenge so that they can practice SEO too and eventually learn it even they will not win. Despite the fact that I can win this Cebu Seo Contest, I also decided to participate because I knew opportunities like this comes seldom in a year so I will grab this even the victory is too far already. I mentioned that it is an “opportunity” for me which mean opportunity for me to conduct SEO experiments and implementation using the key phrase Cebu Seo Contest. I’m just hoping that one of my students will win this Cebu SEO contest.

Tanamor vs. Plange
Tonight, I watched the fight between our very own boxer for the bout of 32 in the boxing Olympics. Tanamor Harry from Zamboanga represented the Philippines on the light flyweight division (48 KG). Sadly, he lost against the boxer from Ghana namely Plange Manyo. I thought he got the edge at first because he agressively attacks his opponent hitting the body but his opponents is showing counter punches making a score against him. In round one alone, Tanamor opponents gain 2 points against his 1 point. The next round, the Filipino was not able to recover witht his bad score and eventually lost the game. The bout is a 4 round point system boxing. The score was 6-3 in favor of Plange so Tanamor ends there while Plange continues to the next round of 16.
Despite this lost I still salute to our Filipino athlete in trying their best to represent our country and give honor to the Philippines. Challenge and lost like this for Filipinos is nothing for them. It is the participation, spirit of sportsmanship and unity of all the countries that matter most to this Olympic events. It is the same feeling that I’m experiencing right now for the Busby SEO Challenge, the feeling of not giving up despite great challenge and hindrance to this tasks. I will raise the torch of undying fire of determination.
Mabuhay ang mga atletang Pinoy! Mabuhay ang mga Filipino Busby SEO Challengers! Saludo ako sa inyo!

Busby SEO Challenge Supporters

(No Ratings Yet)There is a saying that “two brains are better than one” and “together we stand and divided we fall”. Quotes that shows how important it is to do something in group or in team. SEO or search engine optimization is a tasks that involves a lot of time and effort to perform. An individual joining a big competition like this is not possible to succeed if he is battling with a battalion of SEO masters with his only two hands as his weapon to fight them. A partner or a team mate is really necessary to this kind of challenge. In Busby SEO Challenge, me, I’ve been fighting for two months already to overcome my opponents on the said competition. I’ve been alone for that period. Not until now that the Filipino SEO community declare their support to the excelling participants. Giving their 100% post contents supports with great strength of their prowess to give a jump to the rank of the challengers.
This cause my entry to immediately rise from the sticky top 18 and currently reach top 14 of the rank. Setting a high record for my entry on the Busby SEO Challenge which is a first time to me. This cause me a lot of joy because I know that someone from my country is backing me up to succeed. I’m pretty sure that by the end of this challenge even if I will not win, this people will recognize our effort made for this one. Next time we will definitely be identified as one of those people who contributed a lot to the improvement of the SEO industry in the country. We are making history guys right now and I believe that this is a chance of a lifetime. A chance that no one should be taken lightly but instead give his best shot to grab it. It is an opportunity and our destiny. It is our honor not for ourselves but also for our country.
Now, I’m taking this opportunity to thank all those Filipino Busby SEO Challenge supporters. My heartfelt thank you to all of you!

iPhone got Google Translate

(No Ratings Yet)
I know iPhone is not yet available in the Philippines but I keep on monitoring about new things about this wonderful device. Despite the fact that I can’t afford its price (as I have seen on the price list provided by Globe, it is too high for me to reach), I am still interested to have it no matter what. Now, I have read from Google’s blog post with a title Google Translate now for iPhone that the language translator tool of Google can be used in iPhones. Imagine if in case you find yourself unable to understand or talk the language of other people in a certain out of the country travel or trip, you can easily view the English translation of their language with simple touch on your iPhone. It is very helpful specially if you are traveling a lot.
I started using Google Translate when I joined the Busby SEO Challenge since some of the participants were from different countries so I used it to read some of the posts made by other entrants. It is really a great help for me in gathering information about different participants that are using different language. It’s like a spying tool for me.
The sad part about it is the translator can not support Filipino to English translation or vis versa. Maybe later the translation will be available in Filipino language and when that happen it will benefit a lot of pinoy bloggers. Aside from that Busby purpose I used the tool when I’ve read the post of Johncow about how to rewrite a certain content. His post can be found at http://www.johncow.com/content-variation-an-essential-ingredient-in-web-2-0/.

Twitting in the Philippines

(No Ratings Yet)
Have you ever heard of Twitter? It is a micro-blogging and social networking websites that allows you to post 140 character message to different people. It is like a free text messaging system that allows you to send messages to your Twitter friends. It is widely used right now but I don’t know if many Filipinos are using this online “phenomena”. I think not because when I checked on the Google Trends with a Geographical Location: Philippines, to see if many Filipinos searched for the keyword: twitter, the site returns “Your terms - twitter - do not have enough search volume to show graphs.” which only means that few are twitting and following twitters. When I search for the keyword: friendster, a rising chart of line graph can be seen which only shows that many Filipinos are fond of the said social networking website: Friendster.com. Actually I have an account on Friendster, but I’m not that photogenic and I don’t have a lot of pictures to display so I’m not maintaining it frequently.
If you wish to look for more information about Twitter and how can you make use of it, you can read some of this article from http://www.crunchbase.com/company/twitter and from Techcrunch’s article Why Twitter Hasn’t Failed: The Power of Audience. If you have existing Twitter account, you can follow me at http://twitter.com/bleuken.
