HBO 24/7 returns again to bring the behind the scenes of the highly expected world welterweight championship fight of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Victor Ortiz. The four part episode documentary series that focuses the Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight will be aired on HBO Sports beginning on August 27, 2011.

Usually HBO 24/7 episodes can be watched on Youtube but the problem today is that sometimes the video search result provided by Youtube is not the real replay of the series – it’s because of the video-spam-uploaders out there.

Later, I will try to embed here the video replay of the Mayweather vs. Ortiz HBO 24/7 episodes so just check out the update of this site regarding the said show. I usually add the update below.

Got My New iPhone 3GS But…

Finally, I got my dream phone – iPhone 3GS. Globe approved my application for the Php1,500 iPhone plan and got the unit for P12K cash out. I love its feature specially the different apps that I can install on the phone plus its feature that allows me to surf the net, check my emails and online earnings wherever I am via 3G or WiFi. However, there are some things that I encountered and found sometimes annoying about the phone.

Here are some of them:

The battery doesn’t last longer than I expected.
The image produced by the camera is not that really good.
There’s no button that can be used to take a shot (maybe I am just used to Nokia or Samsung phones that have buttons like this but I like this feature)
I can’t view websites that uses Flash using the Safari browser.
Carrier signal always disconnect. I don’t know if the problem is with the phone or with the strength of signal of the provider in our place.

Despite these “small issues” on the phone, I still find the phone really amazing and I am enjoying using it.

Google Phone Nexus One is Coming or Not?

Update: Finally they officially announced it and you can access the official site at http://www.google.com/phone/. However, when I open it I saw a message “Sorry, the Nexus One phone is not available in your country.”

It is on the news today that Google Phone Nexus One will be officially announced in a scheduled press conference at California today. Rumors said that this phone will be available directly from Google and possibly might cost at about $500 for unlocked phones but $100+ for T-Mobile subscribers. Engadget even reported that the official website of the Nexus One goes live for a moment and then died. They even provided the cached version of the said portal of the phone where interested buyers can place their orders.

I am waiting for it too and want to see the features that it might provide to phone users. Some questions were raised by twitting public regarding the phone, such as “Is it a real iPhone killer?” , “How much it cost in our country (like in the Philippines? – I am one of those who is eager to know about this)” and “Will it be coming and officially announced today?”

Nexus One Aka Google Phone in the Philippines

Nexus One = Google Phone

Have you heard about this latest buzz about the newest phone from Google called Nexus One or also known as Google Phone? This phone which is a HTC phone that runs on Android OS in a high-speed Snapdragon processor is said to be released by January 2010. Good news is that this phone can be bought online and it will be a GSM unlocked phone. This only mean that in the Philippines, the new phone will surely work on all cellphone networks of the country like the Smart, Globe (which exclusively distribute iPhone) and Sun network.

According to rumors and leaked information regarding the phone, Nexus One has the following features or specifications:

It is slimmer than iPhone
It has no keyboard
Got 2 Speakers
High-resolution OLED touchscreen
Large Camera at the back
Voice-to-Text that can be used in emailing or taking notes
More features will be included here when Google releases the phone specification later.

I hope that they will accept Paypal payment when the time comes that it will be distributed worldwide in early 2010. If I could afford it I might get one and will use my fund on my Paypal account to buy it.

HTC HD2 in the Philippines

HTC HD2: Windows Mobile Touch Phone

A friend of mine yesterday told me that he wants to buy this new phone called HTC HD2 instead of waiting for the Blackberry Storm 2. He told me that it is much better compared to iPhone or Blackberry. Sadly, according to him, it is not yet available in the Philippines.

According to the official press release of HTC.com, they will be releasing the said phone this month (October) or early next month in Europe then after that (which might be next year, max), it will be spread all through out the region (so wait mode for Philippine gadgeteers).

Nokia’s N900 (aka Nokia RX-51) Using Linux OS

I’ve read this news from Reuters regarding the revelation of Nokia in using Linux as its operating system for its new phone called N900 tablet. Its a touch phone with a slide-out keyboard and cost about $700+ (that’s 32.9K in pesos not including the tax, wow what a price). Usually, Nokia phones uses Symbian OS as its primary operating systems for its phone and its the first for them to use Linux, an open source operating system that is known to compete Microsoft’s Windows OS. However, they’ve said that they are not putting Symbian aside and even told media that it is still Nokia’s primary platform for their phones and will make it to improve more on the coming years.

Last Saturday, Palm Inc. released Palm Pre (dubbed as the “iPhone Killer”) in the market and even the line of interested buyers were not that long as iPhone the last two years the Apple gadget was released, positive remarks came out from different people regarding this new smart phone from Palm. The question now is that if this new phone is really an iPhone killer or just another new phone that will challenge iPhone in the market. LG Arena KM900 in the Philippines

Last year, my target phone was iPhone 3G but later when it became available in the Philippines, I wasn’t able to buy one. Not because I can’t afford to buy it but because I don’t want to. Something change my mind and since its not necessary for me to have a new phone because I still have my N73, I decided not to buy yet. But this seems to change, when I read one review from a news website today regarding a new touch phone from LG called LG Arena KM900, I am thinking now to have this new phone when it becomes available in the country. Actually I have mentioned on one of my blog about my plan of having a new LG phone called LG Cookie (KP500) the other month but changed my mind when I found out that the unit is not 3G enabled. That’s why when I see the spec of this new touch phone that was released at UK last April 1, I am now feeling to buy it but I think it is not yet available here.

Now here are the specification and features of this touch phone from LG that convinced me to buy one:
