Busby SEO Test and Search Engines
Busby SEO Test Buzz. The first time that I have heard about search engines was when I was in college. I first saw about Yahoo and Google in a computer magazine back on my school days. That time in our country, specifically in my province, internet was not as popular as it is now. That’s why this search engines thing is new for everyone, including me. The first site that caught my attention was Yahoo because of its chat features and chess games features which I really love to do. I actually got lured to the chatting world when I tried it once. Lately, I used the services of Yahoo in playing chess online but not frequently using it to look for anything on the net. Years passed and new things have introduced. Internet become more available in our place and it seems that everybody in the city can’t live without it. It is used for gaming, chatting, emailing and almost anything. I only appreciate the uses of search engines back to the year when I first got a paid domain. I wonder why my sites were not that having traffics as I want it to have. That’s when I appreciate the value of being visible in search engines. That’s why I studied search engine optimization (SEO). I started blogging and optimizing the site and follow the guidelines of the search engines. It seems that this is necessary for me to achieve the presence I want online.
I realize the beginning of the evolution of the search engines when I read write ups about how search engines changes its algorithm every moment of its existence. I also found some forum posts that utter about how their methods were not effective in search engines nowadays. They have mentiond some colors of SEO such as Black Hat and White Hat. It seems that Black Hat SEO method started already to fade its color specially in Google. It all started when Matt Cutts, a software engineer of Google, leads the Web Spam Team of the said company. I actually attended a certain chat sessions with them to understand more about their methods of making their result pages clean with spams and unnecessary entries. I really learn a lot from them.
Lately, I also found out that Google introduces a new feature in their search engines that allows their users to choose what results to be seen on their queries (read my previous post here for detail.) Yahoo also introduces the so-called “vertical lens technology” that allows their partners to create a comprehensive vertical search engine that compliments their core user experience. Aside from this events, Matt Cutts announces that their will be a great or a huge change to Google and we are in the SEO industry is watching for this so called “change in the search engine”. Search engines really stand the test of time will be playing a large part to discimination of information to the whole world via the Cyberspace.
