Update: Go here for the partial and unofficial results of the Philippines Presidential election 2010.

The national campaign for the Philippines election 2010 started today and despite the massive information campaign of the presidential candidates via different infomercials on TV, internet, newspaper and radio, still I am not decided on who among the presidentiable will be the one that I will give my vote. I can’t still choose from any of them. I have watched several presidential forums and listen to their platforms, wise judgments and remarks but still it is enough for me to decide to select them.

Now, the election is set on May and I still got several months to think and analyze the platform and qualifications of the leaders before I finally decide. I embedded a poll here on this post and I hope you could cast your vote.

You can also leave your comments on the form below to explain why you will intend to vote the selected candidate.

To all voters:

please vote wisely dahil sa oras na yang binoto nyo ay nanalo at walang nagawang matino,, mawawalan kayo ng karapatan na magreklamo kung bakit naging mas matindi ang kahirapan sa ating bansa…

please go for Aquino…

in his blood runs the blood of a true leader which i believe na makakabago sa ating bansa. lets say na “di ganun karamihan ang nagawa nya sa ating bansa” pero tignan nyo….

-VOTE wisely , VOTE =B E N I G N O A Q U I N O for PRESIDENT=

GIBO COULD NOT EVEN SAY ANYTHING AGAINST THE BID OF PRESIDENT GMA IN THE LOWER HOUSE. WHY WOULD HE DO THAT AGAINST HIS BENEFACTOR?

GIBO HAS SPOILED A LOT OF CHANCE TO BECOME A CANDIDATE OF THE PEOPLE BY SIMPLY CRITICIZING HIS PRESIDENT ON SEVERAL ISSUES SUCH AS

1. MIDNIGHT APPOINTMENT
2. MIDNIGHT DEAL
3. THE AGRA DECISION ON THE AMPATUAN MURDER CASE.

PEOPLE WOULD NOT LEARN TO APPRECIATE THE VALUE OF HIS CANDIDACY UNLESS HE SPEAKS WITH CONVICTION ON THESE ISSUE. IF HE TURNS BLIND ON IT THEN VOTERS WOULD TURN BLIND ON HIS INTELLECTUAL STAMINA. HE COULD NOT EVEN DEFEND HIS VICE PRESIDENTIAL BET EDU MANZANO FOR NOT RECEIVING ENOUGH FUNDS FROM THE PARTY WHEREAS GLORIA IS GIVING A LOT OF FUNDS FOR HIS ALLIES IN THE CONGRESS AS SHE EYES FOR THE SPEAKERSHIP. HOW COULD YOU EXPECT GIBO TO PROTECT US FROM THE ABUSES OF HIS ALLIES WHO HAPPENED TO BE TRAPOS WHEN HE CAN EVEN FIGHT FOR HIS PARTNER. INIISIP TULOY NG TAO NA GINAMIT LANG NILA SI EDU PARA LANG MASABI NA HINDI MAHINA ANG KANDIDATURA NI GIBO. NAKAKAAWA SYA SABAGAY GINAMIT LANG SYA NG PARTIDO. I appeal to him pagkatapos ng eleksyon kumalas sya ng lakas at pangunahan niya ang isang progresibong partido na patatakbuhin ng taong bayan sapagkat nakakapanghinayang sya.

I already foresaw the landslide victory of Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas on May 10, 2010 election. as early as September last year. Noynoy, the eldest and only son of Former Sen. Ninoy Aquino and Former President Corazon Aquino, inherited the good name of his parents just in the same way the Gandhi’s in India from Mahatma Gandhi; the Kennedy’s in USA from JFK and Robert Kennedy; Aung Sung Suu Kyi from the good name of his father in Burma. This is a phenomena not exclusive to the Philippines. Aquino and Roxas are fruits of good trees that people wanted to taste it and savor its nutritious contents. Aquino’s sudden jump to political arena competing for the highest post in the land consequently altered the political landscape formerly dominated by Villar who have performed very well in the the poll survey early last 2009 due to his pro poor platform committed to end the unhumane face of poverty in our country and he was trailing behind Former President Joseph Estrada who unquestionably retained his magnetic charisma among the poor.On the death of Corazon Aquino, the patron saint of people power revolution across the globe , the whole country mourned along with her bereaved family and the entire land dotted with yellow ribbon, a reminiscent of the Yellow Confetti Revoution which began the end for Marcos Conjugal dictatorship, which paved the way for the Liberal Party to convince Noynoy to accept the challenge of continuing the immortal legacies of his parents. As he declared his intent to run for presidency, the yellow bandwagon grew like a tidal wave and many were already predicting that Noynoy would win in a Pyrrhic Victory. But Manny Villar would not be outdone, he came up with a popular jingles summarizing his struggle for a good life. A jingle that registered in the mind of every Filipino including the very young non voters. It was a good strategy I commend his handlers on this matter. It is a very effective counter attack against the Yellow Fever; The Orange Revolution soon to rise.

But NP’s Momentum to catch with Noynoy’s margin did not last long. He was hounded by the C5 scandal, the alleged pressure he exertded over PSE officials, the black propaganda orchestraded by his supporters visavis NOYNOY, and people got over fatigued with his commercials whch made voters to think that Villar indeed spent huge money in this election and by what manner will he recovered those expenses once he get tha mandate. He confesssed that every single cent spent in his campaign portfolio actually came from his own pocket. The more he talks about the money the more he hurts his candidacy; I knew many potential supporters of Villar who got turnoff the way he spent money on this election; It is buying the office of the Presidency in the making. Willie Revillame is another liablity on his campaign; many people particularly those who glued their eyes on tv on the wake of Cory’s death witnessed the arrogance of this man by making comment unbecoming of tv show host of a popular variety show. History repeat itself when he challenged the TV network of which he belongs to make a choice between him and a radio showbiz commentator. How would he behave once Manny get elect in the office? If I were his handler I would immediately pull put out the commercial of the Senator Villar with Willy Revillame since it would cost him substantial votes. I would rather love to see that Manny is being endorsed by multi sectoral leaders from class D and E voters including the Peasants, the Vendors, the Urban poor, and among their likes. Somehow such messages would create bandwagon for the poor that his candidacy is really for the poor. With this, I can conclude that Manny mishandled his image before the voters he spoiled his chance of being a champion of the poor by failing to show to the voters that he is the complete opposite of GLORIA, the great epitome of Transactional Leadership. Villar Campaign strategy is really a mess they put much time on exploring potential destructive propaganda against Noynoy. Reality Bites, You can just do that to Noynoy he has been protected by the immaculate names of his parent which gave him a solid 37 percentage votes of all registered voters. They are the voters who admonished Cory and Ninoy, their love and admiration for the two can be transferred to their children in the same manner that we transferred our love for Ninoy to his wife Cory when she runned for presidency in 1986. They are civil society voters who clamored for a new leader who is an Antonym of GLORIFIC, someone who is not corrupt or tainted by any corruption. They are the voters who struggled and joined Cory in EDSA I against the powerful Marcos Regime. They are the voters who believed that corruption is tha biggest issue in this election. Recently INC endorsed the candidacy of NOYNOY AND MAR, placing more NOYNOY at distant edge over his nearest rival. INC is the only religious group that can bring bloc voting to a candidate as big as 3-4 million votes.

Erap Estrada’s political career is indeed a dramatic one. He was being boot out in office in 2001, confined to solitary incarceration for many years but he remained a formidable political figure in our country. The fact that Jinggoy placed 2nd to Bong Revilla in the senatorial survey is a clear evidence that Estrada’s appeal to the MASA voters seems not to wane as contrary to popular notion. Many people believed that in this election Estrada could easily choose to become kingmaker since both Villar and Noynoy sought for his support at the early stage of this political festivity. Instead, He joined in the competition as he reasoned out that the Opposition could not come up with a single candidate to be fitted against the administration bet. Estrada knew that his days are over. In 1998, he easily won against JDV with a margin of 6 million votes but people will not give him 2nd chance. It just so happened that Estrada by his own sense would probably like to prove something that he is not someone to be ignored especially to those who conspired against him. Anyway, no amount of hope that he would bag the victory on this game. But Jinggoy is a force to be watched in 2016.

GIBO TEODORO – ANG PINAKAMATALINONG KANDIDATO AT PINAKA KWALIPIKADONG KANDIDATO SA 2010. The statement above warrants no amount of argument. I concede that GIBO deserves the highest post of the land given his academic credentials and the fluency of his thinking. The miserable standing of GIBO in this election could be attributed solely to his political ties with GMA and LAKAS NUCD, the party that tolerates the excesses of GMA and the party that shields GMA from her LEADERSHIP BANKRUPTCY. GIBO is probably thinking that the formidability of LAKAS MACHINERY would deliver 10 million votes for him. He misread and ignored the sentiments of the PEOPLE that they would not entertain GMA’S endorsement in this election: A vote for someone endorsed by GMA is tantamount of showing admiration for GMA. I pitty him in the strongest sense. His presidential bid can be likened to Sen. John McCain whom i think more qualified than Barack Obama. But Mc Cain had to carry those baggages of GEORGE W. BUSH, the most unpopular president of US since the establishment of the Republic. He cannot divorce himself to Gloria since the party members of LAKAS especially the Lawmakers from the LOWER HOUSE who are very vocal of their support for GIBO are the same stoogies who are out to put GLORIA in power forever. If I were him the day that I heard that GMA was supporting another candidate, I would leave the party, call for a press conference, and denounce the caprice and the sinister idea of this administration. It could have been the opportunity for him to attract the tide on his favor but he spoiled it instead he immediately called for a loyalty check and confronted the GARCIAS in Cebu who earlier affirmed their support for GIBO but rumored to have been called by First Gentleman to support Villar instead of him. If I were him, I would not mind courting the support of the Garcias since they can no longer duplicate the huge vote that they delivered to GMA in 2004. Had he severed his ties with the Garcia’s he could have win the votes of the Teachers in the Public School. Winston Garcia, the brother of Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, is the Chairman of GSIS who despite of the mass dischantment of government workers as to Garcia’s spending spree at the expense of their own fund remained in the post uninterruptedly at the behest of GMA. Well if you are not familiar with this issue you ask anyone you know working in the government and make an inquiry about the GSIS Benefits especially those who are waiting for their retirement benefit. What is he afraid of losing Lakas filled with Traditional Politicians in the likes of Pichay, Ermita, Villarosa, Mamba, Pineda, Dy and many more? Miriam runned for presidency in 1992 with an infant political party conceived for her candidacy, the PRP. Despite of it, she outdone the other candidates (Danding Cojuangco of Nationalist Peoples Coalition – the man behind GIBO the Politician on his early days in the Political Arena and Ramon Mitra, Former Speaker of the House who had the biggest political machinery in 1992). Both of them suffered humiliation as Miriam overtook them in the counting inspite that they have the 3G’S – the guns of their governors; the golds from their pork barrels and goons of their mayors. Though she lost the election, atleast she proved something in the annals of our history, machinery and money are not enough to win the election – as witnessed by Panlilio’s Victory in Pampanga and Padaca in Isabela. In the case of Gibo he simply bank on the capablity of his party to deliver votes for him which made him to stick to the party no matter how difficult for him to divorce himsef from GLORIA and her cronies. What if he wins courtesy of his party would he become grateful to the LAKAS (HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN)?
I would rather vote for somehow who lives in the shadow of his parents endeared by millions of Filipino people out of their devotion and love for this country than for a candidate who banks on his party’s capacity to win whatever the means will be.

I would rather vote for someone who stood on the good legacy of his parent than for a candidate who believes that money can buy everything including our dreams and hope.

I would rather vote for someone looked upon by many because of their unwavering love for his parent than for someone who pronounced that he has unwavering love for the poor but did nothing when he had given a chance to serve them.

When Cory runned against Marcos in 1986 she did not promise us a paradise what she commited most was the restoration of Democracy hijacked and raped by Marcos. We rallied behind her because the most urgent thing at that time was to get Marcos out of Malacanan and prevent Imelda from succeeding him. Nobody from the opposition could clutch a victory against Marcos in any election at any given time but Cory for she was the biggest symbol of Marcos Injustice at that junction.

The same is being repeated again: Removing NOYNOY from the equation, What do we have for this election? A tycoon who is more bent to protect his business empire than serving the people. A man endorsed by the President and the party who went beyond the Constitution and that man turned a blind eye on it to protect his own comfort zone. An actor turned politician deposed for his immoral surplus and now pose to return in power.

For those who are not for Noynoy, the biggest error that he is commiting in the campaign is that is he is presenting himself as the most trustworthy among the other wannabees and he is doing it under the shadow of his parent. Well there is nothing wrong about it, I am seeing it as advantageous for our country for once he get elect he would not become grateful to the party( rather Liberal Party should be grateful to him; this party before was like a dilapidated car); he would not become grateful to his popularity so that if he would get elect he would put it on his brain and start arrogating power unto himself( e.g. Erap): or he would not become grateful to his wealth so that if he get elect he would return it with thousand increase in profit and interest.
