Aside from the highly anticipated WBC Welterweight match, Mayweather vs. Ortiz on September 17, 2011, there will be a super welterweight championship match that will be held as part of the Star Power boxing event. That is the Mexican boxer showdown featuring Canelo Alvarez (37-0-1 27 KOs) and Alfonso Gomez (23-4-2 12 KOs). The Alvarez vs. Gomez fight is a 12-round super welterweight match that will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and part of the Star Power Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight which are both featured on HBO PPV.

Now if you want to watch Alvarez vs Gomez fight, its either you get a PPV of the Mayweather vs Ortiz fight for sure it is part of it or if you can’t go and buy ticket and watch the fight live, the only solution is to check it on websites that provide information on watching this boxing event via live streaming. This September 10, 2011 boxing event proves only that September 2011 is really a boxing month. Aside from the recently concluded Berto vs. Zaveck last week and the upcoming Mayweather vs. Ortiz on Sept. 17, yet another exciting match will be happening this Saturday that will surely add up to the list of great fights in the boxing history. The said fight will be the Gamboa vs. Ponce de Leon featherweight championship match. Gamboa (20-0, 16 KO) and de Leon (41-3, 34 KO) will be fighting for the IBF featherweight title which is currently Gamboa is holding.

The venue for the said fight will be at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

The Pacquiao vs. Marquez III World Press Tour begins today, September 2, 2011 (September 3 Saturday in the Philippines) and it will be in Quirino Grand Stand in Manila, Philippines beginning at 2:30pm. If you are in the Philippines, you can rush immediately there specially if you’re in Manila right now but if you are far from Manila right now (like me), the only way for me to watch the said event is through the coverage by GMA 7 Network.

This is the first day where Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez will answer questions regarding their upcoming November fight. Some controversies, rumors and updates about the boxers preparations and strategies for this Pacquiao-Marquez match will surely be revealed.

Andre Berto vs. Jan Zaveck Fight

This Saturday, September 3, 2011 (US Time) will be a day for Andre Berto to redeem himself from his previous defeat. If you can remember, Andre Berto was the undefeated welterweight boxer who was beaten by the returning welterweight boxer, Victor “Vicious” Ortiz who also got a fight this coming September 17, 2011 dubbed as Mayweather vs. Ortiz “Star Power.”

Andre Berto will be fighting Jan Zaveck, a Slovenian IBF Welterweight champion challenging the world title of the latter and the boxing event is promoted as “BATTLE IN BILOXI.” The venue of the event is Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Well, this match is crucial for Berto for him to return to the “spotlight” of boxing and this is his ticket for another big time match. He might have also a chance to get revenge against Ortiz if he will win this match or even win an opportunity to clash against the undisputed Floyd Mayweather Jr. This is the reason why I will watch this match this Saturday (Sunday here.) HBO 24/7 returns again to bring the behind the scenes of the highly expected world welterweight championship fight of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Victor Ortiz. The four part episode documentary series that focuses the Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight will be aired on HBO Sports beginning on August 27, 2011.

Usually HBO 24/7 episodes can be watched on Youtube but the problem today is that sometimes the video search result provided by Youtube is not the real replay of the series – it’s because of the video-spam-uploaders out there.

I recently discussed about the upcoming big rematch of Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez on November 2011 (you can read at my Pacquiao vs. Marquez post for full details of the match). Then, I have read that Floyd Mayweather Jr. just get out from his retirement and decided to get a fight this year against the American boxer, Victor Ortiz who is currently the WBC Welterweight world champion. Everyone reacted (of course that includes me) and the fight raises controversies. They even raised the old question, “why not fight Pacquiao?” One of my friend who is a boxing fanatic too, asked, “I thought he is resting from boxing, but why when he heard that Manny Pacquiao is fighting Marquez, then he decided to go out and fight too…”, he said while smiling. ”And they even set the date earlier that Manny’s fight.” he added.

Well, Floyd Mayweather Jr. can’t avoid these such remarks. He started making some noise when he intrigued the Filipino boxer by releasing some controversial comments about Pacquiao and die hard Pacman fans will surely shout back from his claims.

Now, regarding the Mayweather vs. Ortiz welterweight fight, the reasons why I will recommend that you should watch it despite this several controversial reactions from some boxing fans is simply because I find it very entertaining and feel that Mayweather can be beaten by Ortiz. Victor Ortiz is a southpaw (like Pacquiao). He is young and tagged as “vicious” because of his offensive and aggressive stance. His professional records and boxing performance are impressive which is comparable to Manny Pacquiao’s.

Now if you want to watch Mayweather vs. Ortiz online or offline, you should know that it is available on PPV (pay per view) so you should check it with your local provider. However, if you weren’t able to watch it via your TV because you’re not home or whatever reasons and you’re really eager to watch Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight then just return here later or check websites like Telepisodes.net to find out the details on how to watch this boxing event.

For my prediction, I think Floyd Mayweather Jr. can still keep up with Victor Ortiz’s speed and offenses. He can knock out Ortiz on the later rounds. Watch Ortiz vs. Maidana fight so that you’ll know why I believe that he will loose this fight.

The Mayweather vs. Ortiz boxing event is dubbed as “STAR POWER” and scheduled to happen on September 17, 2011 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

After Manny Pacquiao’s recently concluded mega boxing match with the American boxer “Sugar” Shane Mosley, world boxing fans were clamoring and questioning as to whom will the pound-for-pound king will be fighting next. Their queries will no longer be heard because the fight that many people were clamoring about lately is finally going to take place and there is no turning back anymore.

Since the supposed-to-be fight of Pacquiao with Floyd Mayweather Jr. seems to be not happening anymore, Manny Pacquiao is left with no other than Juan Manuel Marquez to fight for this year. This is going to be the trilogy of their previous fights. Their first fight was declared a draw and in the second one, Pacquiao won against Marquez via a split decision.

The Filipino pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao has an outstanding boxing record of 53-3-2-1 with 38 by way of knockouts while the Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez has a boxing record of 52-5-1 with also 38 KO’s. The two famous fighters is said to have their third fight on November 12 this year to be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the same venue as to Pacquiao’s fight with Mosley. It was said that even before Pacquiao’s fight with Mosley last May 7, there was already a secret negotiation happening between Pacquiao’s team and Marquez’s.

Some people criticize this fight because they believe that two fights is already enough for the two boxers and the third or another rematch is not necessary anymore. But Marquez wanted to prove something. He wanted to prove everybody that he is the best match for Pacquiao and that if given the chance, he will be able to beat him up this time. He also claimed that he is so prepared for this upcoming match.

Manny Pacquiao on the other hand is so excited about this Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 fight and announced that he will start the training for this match by September. The boxers will be fighting on 145 pounds catchweight and possibly its Pacquiao’s welterweight belt will be on the line.

If you will based their previous fights, you will see that the Mexican boxer will surely bring some entertaining fight for the crowd. What I like about him is that he still continues to fight and keep on the offensive right after he was knock down. He’s a real fighter that whenever he got hit, he will hit back which I think makes a very difficult fight Pacquiao back then. But that was long time ago and the Filipino champ have evolved in a much better fighter compared the yesteryears.

I personally think that it will be Manny Pacquiao who will take the victory on this Pacquiao vs. Marquez Part III fight but of course we can’t take the idea that there’s a possibility that Marquez can bring one of the greatest disappointment for him. We’ll just see if what will be the outcome on November 12, 2011 and as usual I will try my best to share the most relevant updates and news about the boxing event plus shares on different link sources or streaming for the fight via SOPCAST or any other means possible to watch the fight.

Watch Fight Camp 360: Pacquiao vs. Mosley Episode 3 This Saturday

It is almost two weeks before the UNSTOPPABLE boxing event featuring Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and “Sugar” Shane Mosley on May 7th and this Saturday, the third installment of Fight Camp 360° Pacquiao vs. Mosley will be showing on CBS at 8pm ET/PT. We already witness the previous episodes, The Hype and Training Day and see how the two fighter persevere to reach their goal for this event. Closest friends, family and trainers have made their statement about what they feel about the match. Freddie Roach, the long time trainer of the Filipino congressman/actor/boxer Emmanuel Pacquiao, have expressed his respect to Shane Mosley as being one of the great fighter of the current era. He also believes that this will be one of the most difficult fight that his ‘kid’ will be facing in his entire fighting career.

Now on Saturday, the Fight Camp 360°: Pacquiao vs. Mosley episode 3 will be aired in whole hour during the prime time on CBS, one of the largest network in the US. This only show how the network give importance to this Pacquiao vs. Mosley event. Check out this site later for I will share to you the video of the episode.
