			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2037" title="Facebook-Logo" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Facebook-Logo-150x150.png" alt="" width="150" height="150" />Have you received messages from your Facebook chat window lately saying some automated messages about checking out your friends profile, stats or just sending some links? What you don&#8217;t know is that if you like it or allow it to use your information, it will invade your account and will make it like a &#8216;zombie&#8217; that sends messages even if you&#8217;re offline or doesn&#8217;t knows about it.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s infectious because it is difficult to be avoided specially if it is send by your FB friends. It is a privacy issue that you should be aware of. How to avoid it? Well, just don&#8217;t allow or like any apps. Try to search about it online and see if that is really true, legit and helpful apps.</p>
<p>What if you have the said malicious apps already, what you can do about it to be fixed? Here&#8217;s how to clean your Facebook account from this kind of invasion:<span id="more-2034"></span></p>
<ol>
<li>Make sure if your PC is not infected by any kind of virus. Use an anti-virus for that.</li>
<li>Then, on your Facebook account go to the Privacy Settings. (Menu-&gt;<strong>Account</strong>-&gt;<strong>Privacy Settings</strong>).</li>
<li>On the Privacy Settings page, click &#8220;<strong>edit your settings</strong>&#8221; &#8211; It will open the current Apps, Games and Websites that you like or use recently. Just click &#8220;<strong>edit settings</strong>&#8221; button to list all the apps. You can remove apps that you don&#8217;t recognize one by one or turn off all of the apps from this page.</li>
</ol>
<p>Remember, prevention is better than cure so here are some things that you might want to take into consideration to protect your Facebook account from this kind of problems:</p>
<ol>
<li>Make sure to logout your account every time your done with your social thing specially when you are using a public computer (internet cafe, school, library,etc.)</li>
<li>Do not accept any app requests specially if you&#8217;re not sure what it is all about.</li>
<li>Check your Privacy Settings always.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you&#8217;re looking for a much faster and simpler to configure CDN (content delivery network) for your WordPress blog or website to make it to load much faster then you might want to use the free (or the cheaper) CDN services of <a rel="external nofollow" href="http://www.speedymirror.com/aff/?4673" target="_blank">SpeedyMirror</a>. It is a content delivery network solution provider that offers a free 50 GB traffic bandwidth. Once you consume it you need to purchase an additional traffic package which will cost you $34.95 for 1TB (which is quite cheaper than MaxCDN), $174.75 for 5TB, $873.75 for 25 TB and $3,495 for 100TB.</p>
<p>If you want to sign-up for an account, you can click the logo below to start using the CDN:</p>
<p><a rel="external nofollow" href="http://www.speedymirror.com/aff/?4673" target="_blank"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1917" title="Sign-up at SpeedyMirror and Get Free 50GB Traffic" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Speedy-Mirror-logo.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="369" height="111" /></a></p>
<p>For a step-by-step guide on how to configure the CDN on your site, you can check the instructions below:</p>
<p><span id="more-1916"></span></p>
<p>1. After you sign-up, you&#8217;ll be asked to create a new mirror for your site. Just fill-up the necessary data required and click Detect and save when done.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1921" title="1-Create-New-Mirror" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/1-Create-New-Mirror.jpg" alt="" width="645" height="476" /></p>
<p>2. You will be provided with a sub-domain which you can use to configure your CDN on your WordPress blog.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1923" title="2-Mirror-Settings" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/2-Mirror-Settings.jpg" alt="" width="611" height="441" /></p>
<p>3. If you don&#8217;t know how to configure CNAME then you can simply use the subdomain provided by SpeedyMirror. In my case, I use <strong>bleuken.speedymirror.com</strong>. If you want to configure a custom domain for your new CDN, you need to go to your CPANEL and create a CNAME entry from the Simple DNS Editor under the Domains category of your control panel. Just click it and configure it as shown below.<br />
<img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1925" title="Add-CNAME-Record" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Add-CNAME-Record.jpg" alt="" width="407" height="189" /></p>
<p>4. The next thing you need to do is to configure your WordPress blog to use the CDN via the W3 Total Cache CDN configuration. Just enable CDN from the settings and choose MIRROR for the type of CDN. Then go to CDN and add your SpeedMirror URL as shown below.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1926" title="CDN-on-W3-Total-Cache" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/CDN-on-W3-Total-Cache.jpg" alt="" width="865" height="226" /><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1928" title="CDN-Configuration-W3" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/CDN-Configuration-W3.jpg" alt="" width="1012" height="263" /></p>
<p>Save your settings and clear your cache and your done. Now your site is much faster uses CDN for free.</p>
<p>5. Last and not the least, you might want to enable the HOTLINK PROTECTION of your CDN so that other websites/blogs/scrapers out there will not spend your own bandwidth or traffic. You can do this by clicking on the name of your mirror from the list of mirrors and specifying the site that you want to be allowed to use your images, css, flash, javascripts or any other files.<br />
<img src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/3-Mirror-Other-Settings.jpg" alt="" title="3-Mirror-Other-Settings" width="489" height="521" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1930" /></p>
<p>What are you waiting for sign-up now and get a 50GB free CDN for your site. It will speed-up your website and at the same time improve the user experience which in turn improve your ranking on search engines like Google.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you can&#8217;t afford to get CDN from <a href="http://www.bleuken.com/how-to-implement-cdn-on-your-wordpress-siteblog-20100724/">MaxCDN</a> or Amazon S3/Cloudfront then you might want to try this free content delivery network to make your website to load faster and much secured from possible DOS (denial of services) attacks. The said CDN is called CloudFlare which features free caching your pages and delivering it fast to your users from different part of the world. One feature that I like about the CDN is it accelarates the site, block threats and limit abusive bots and crawlers from wasting the bandwidth and server resources of my site. Another feature that I love is the &#8220;Always Online&#8221; option which makes your website still available despite server time out or disconnection.</p>
<p>Its easy to implement on your website. It takes almost four steps and less than several minutes to use it on your site. What you need is you should have an access on configuring the NAMESERVERS of your domain name from your DOMAIN REGISTRAR (like Godaddy.com, Name.com).</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what you need to do:</p>
<p><span id="more-1823"></span>1. Sign-up an account on CloudFlare.com</p>
<p>2. Add your website on the Dashboard then click Add this Website. The system will read the configuration of your site for almost 50 seconds then click Continue to Step 2.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1824" title="cloudflare-step-1" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/cloudflare-step-1.jpg" alt="" width="753" height="225" /></p>
<p>3. On the next step, you&#8217;ll see the DNS records of your system. You can add necessary CNAME and A records depending on the configuration of your system. Usually you will not change this specially if you have no sub-domains but if you have check it and make sure your sub-domains are included on the records. After you click continue on the next step, you&#8217;ll be shown with the configuration to recheck the new configuration.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1829" title="cloudflare-step-2" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/cloudflare-step-2.jpg" alt="" width="625" height="378" /></p>
<p>4. After the 1st to 3rd step, you will receive a new nameserver from CloudFlare that you need to replace on your existing nameserver via your domain registrar as per shown below.<br />
<img src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/cloudflare-step-3.jpg" alt="" title="cloudflare-step-3" width="613" height="267" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1831" /></p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what it looks like when you replace the old nameserver with the current one.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/cloudflare-step-4.jpg" alt="" title="cloudflare-step-4" width="796" height="439" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1832" /></p>
<p>That&#8217;s it, you&#8217;re done. Your website is now accelerated and at the same time secured. One last thing that I think you might want to do is to configure the BASIC SECURITY LEVEL of your site via CloudFlare Settings. Mine, I change it to LOW settings so that the site will not prompt that much for users with unsecured PCs. You might want to install CloudFlare&#8217;s plug-in if your site is using WordPress.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/cloudflare-security-setting.jpg" alt="" title="cloudflare-security-setting" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1834" /></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Load speed of your site is important not only to comply to Google&#8217;s ranking algorithm and have a sound SEO friendly site but also to make your users to have a great experience on your site. There are some cases that advertising scripts that is embedded on the site which are usually rendered using Javascript, makes your site very slow. The problem is that some ad scripts load slow or sometimes failed to load making a slow rendering of the whole site. I also experienced it and its really annoying that the site isn&#8217;t loading yet because the page is waiting for the ads to load first. That&#8217;s why what I did is I load the ads script last on my site and make my content to load first.</p>
<p>Yup and here&#8217;s how:</p>
<ol>
<li>First, I get the ads script / code then put in a separate HTML file and upload it to my site (e.g. <strong>/myad.html</strong>).</li>
<li>Then, I put the following code on the place where the ad is supposed to be placed:<br />
<blockquote><p><code>&lt;div id='myadcode'&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</code></p></blockquote>
</li>
<li>Then, I put the following code on the footer of the page (right before the &lt;/body&gt; tag):<br />
<blockquote><p><code>&lt;script type='text/javascript'&gt;</code></p>
<p><span style="font-family: monospace;">document.getElementById(&#8220;myadcode&#8221;).innerHTML=&#8221;&lt;iframe src=&#8217;<strong>/myad.html</strong>&#8216; width=&#8217;480&#8242; height=&#8217;70&#8242; border=&#8217;0&#8242; frameborder=&#8217;0&#8242; scrolling=&#8217;no&#8217;&gt;&lt;/iframe&gt;&#8221;;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: monospace;">&lt;/script&gt;</span></p></blockquote>
</li>
</ol>
<p>On the code above, I assumed that the ads is a 468&#215;60 banner.</p>
<p>On this method, the ad script will be loaded right after the browser reach the last part of the code up to &lt;/body&gt; tag. Using the script on the 3rd step, it will replace the the &lt;div id=&#8217;myadcode&#8217;&gt;&lt;/div&gt; with the actual code that you saved on step 1 through the use of the magic &#8216;iframe&#8217; which is written by a javascript using the <em>getElementByID</em> function.</p>
<p>I have tried it and I like the result plus my content on my site load first before the ads.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With the different problems with the economy, we should learn how to spend our money wisely and invest it carefully. This is the reason why I like to share some tips on how to have a website that will only cost you $2 to $8.</p>
<p>If you want to have a website with a .COM domain then this steps might cost you an $8 but if you can live with .INFO domain then $2 would be enough.<span id="more-1498"></span></p>
<ol>
<li>First thing that you need to do is to register a domain. I register my domains at <a href="http://www.godaddy.com/">GODADDY</a> and look for a GODADDY promo code (like cjc749fat which will expire this 02/28/10) so that I could register a $7.49 .COM. If you will not use a promo/coupon code, you&#8217;ll pay for $10 for a domain name.</li>
<li>After that, register an new account on <a href="http://www.blogger.com/">BLOGGER.COM</a>.
<p><div id="attachment_1499" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 600px"><a href="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/sign-up-blogger.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-1499" title="sign-up-blogger" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/sign-up-blogger.jpg" alt="Sign Up an Account in Blogger" width="590" height="456" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Sign Up an Account in Blogger</p></div></li>
<li>Go to the settings page of the Blogger&#8217;s dashboard and click Settings-&gt;Publishing-&gt;Custom Domain
<p><div id="attachment_1502" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 778px"><a href="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/settings-custom-domain.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-1502" title="settings-custom-domain" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/settings-custom-domain.jpg" alt="Settings-&gt;Publishing" width="768" height="341" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Settings-&gt;Publishing-&gt;Custom Domain</p></div></li>
<li> You&#8217;ll see the following screen. Click on the &#8220;<strong>Switch to Advance Settings</strong>&#8221; <a href="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/publish-custom-domain.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1505" title="publish-custom-domain" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/publish-custom-domain.jpg" alt="" width="483" height="226" /></a>
<p><div id="attachment_1504" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 499px"><a href="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/advance-settings.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-1504" title="advance-settings" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/advance-settings.jpg" alt="Advance Settings" width="489" height="236" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Advance Settings</p></div></li>
<li>Type the domain name that you registered on step 1 on the &#8220;Your domain&#8221; textbox then Click Save Settings.</li>
<li>Next, sign-in to your domain registrants account then go to the <strong>domain manager</strong> of your domain name, as shown below:
<p><div id="attachment_1507" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 635px"><a href="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/domain-manager.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-1507 " title="domain-manager" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/domain-manager.jpg" alt="Go Daddy's Domain Manager" width="625" height="356" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Go Daddy&#39;s Domain Manager</p></div></li>
<li>On the domain manager, go to the &#8220;Total DNS&#8221; window.</li>
<li>From the Total DNS Window, click &#8220;<strong>Add New A Record</strong>&#8221; and fill-up the host name with your domain name (<strong>yourdomainname.com</strong>) and type in the &#8220;Points to IP Address&#8221; the number <strong>216.239.32.21</strong>. Repeat this step for IP Addresses &gt; <strong>216.239.34.21, </strong><strong>216.239.36.21 and </strong><strong>216.239.38.21</strong>. See the sample configuration below:
<p><div id="attachment_1514" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/total-dns-control21.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-1514" title="total-dns-control2" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/total-dns-control21-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Click on the image to enlarge</p></div></li>
<li>Then add or edit the WWW alias from the CNAME record and fill-up the &#8220;Point to hostname&#8221; with <strong>ghs.google.com</strong>. You can read <a href="http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;answer=55373">http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;answer=55373</a> for information about this setting.</li>
</ol>
<p>After you&#8217;re finished with this configuration, you need to wait a couple of hours or less before the new DNS control settings are applied. When the changes takes effect, you&#8217;ll see that when you visit your new domain, it will use your blogger account. You can now modify the template of your site to suit to the niche or topic that you want to be featured by your new site.</p>
<p>For more question about this stuff, you can leave your comment below and I will try to reply to the inquiry. Good luck and happy blogging!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I discovered several sites again today which I will not mention on this post that is infected by the same virus that infected it last year but with slight modification on the malicious code. Some websites I know were also hacked and defaced. The problem is that sometimes, you can&#8217;t discover it until you find it out that Google already tagging/marking your site with a disturbing message &#8220;This site may harm your computer.&#8221; Which will immediately cause a drop on your traffic. The pain is it will take sometime before the &#8220;said mark&#8221; before Google lifts it.</p>
<p>This infection will really hurt your site in terms of traffic and sales lost which makes your SEO effort become useless. It is because, browsers today like Chrome and Firefox block sites with the said mark preventing users to open it even after you clean it.</p>
<p>This is the reason why you should avoid the infection to happen. It is as always I said, &#8220;prevention is always better than cure.&#8221; Here&#8217;s some of the things that you should consider to avoid this kind of situation (based on the suggestion of <a href="http://www.stopbadware.org/home/security">StopBadWare.org</a> and my previous tips):</p>
<p><strong>Protect your site </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure that any software you use (e.g., blogging software like WordPress, third party scripts, etc.) is kept up to date with the latest security fixes, either by you (if you installed the software) or by your hosting provider.</li>
<li>Remove any scripts, services, or other software that you are no longer using.</li>
<li>Change any default passwords that come with the software you are using.</li>
<li>Use appropriate file permissions on your web server.</li>
<li>Limit the access to the site. Remove old users that is not part of the team that should access the site.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span id="more-1465"></span>Protect your password</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Use a strong password and change it occasionally, especially if you have reason to think it has been compromised. A minimum of 12 character passwords composed of at least 2 symbols, 2 number and 2 upper case letters can create a hard to crack password.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Protect your computer </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Use appropriate firewall, anti-virus, anti-malware or anti-badware. Usually infection starts on your PC. Even if you follow the previous preventive measures but you neglect your own PC, still your website can be infected.</li>
<li>Read StopBadWare.org&#8217;s tips on <a href="http://www.stopbadware.org/home/badware_prevent">preventing badware infections</a> for more information about this.</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My site was infected by a certain virus that embeds itself on PHP and Javascript files. The malware/virus attached itself at the end of the file and connecting to a certain website with a ccTLD .RU. It attached a code with GNU GPL code encrypted in Javascript. It infects all index.*, default*.* and *.js files.</p>
<p>Since, I am using a shared hosting, all of my sites under the hosting was infected and at first I did the fixing manually but since its a time consuming tasks, I decided to create a PHP code to clean this file. Here&#8217;s what you need to do to fix your website from the said GNU GPL infection.</p>
<ol>
<li>Check your PC for any infections using an anti-virus like AVAST and MalwareBytes.</li>
<li>Change the password of your hosting and FTP access.</li>
<li><span id="more-1358"></span>Download the file: <a href="http://www.bleuken.com/utility/fixfiles.zip">FIXFILES.ZIP</a> here. (Right Click -&gt;Save Target As or Right Click-&gt;Save Link As)</li>
<li>Extract the FIXFILES.PHP from the archive and upload it to the root directory of your website (/www or / through FTP).</li>
<li>Execute it. ( Type <strong>http://www.yourwebsite.com/fixfiles.php</strong> on your address bar)</li>
<li>After executing the file, the cleaning of the infected files will start. Wait until all the files are listed.</li>
</ol>
<p>The program reads all the files on your website and check for any existence of a certain signature of the virus or malware. It then removes the maliscious code and rewrite the file without the virus. Note: Use this PHP code at your own risks and <a href="http://www.bleuken.com/">Bleuken.com</a> or the author is not liable of any loss or damage that it might cause to your website. As I have said, this is the same code that I use to fix this website and this code really fix everything. Good luck!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Do you know where does your website traffic come from? Well, if not then you should find a way to know it. You can use the following websites / online tools to see how your visitors find your site and the origins of the traffic:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>AwStats or Webalizer</strong>. It is usually provided by your <a href="http://www.bleuken.com/2009/11/18/bluehost-handled-traffic-properly/">hosting</a> as part of your package. Some hosting set it on by default others requires you to enable them. Webalizer provides a detail and summary of the traffic from the country where they came from, entry/exit pages, search agents/sites used and event the response code of the site.</li>
<li><strong>Google Analytics</strong>. This is a great analytic tool from Google that requires you to sign-up for an account and embed a javascript tracking code on every pages of your site. There&#8217;s a lot of segment and reports that you can generate and find from this traffic tool. You can even connect your Adsense account so that you can determine which of your sites earn better and what keyword or articles attracts more clicks and money.</li>
<li>Alexa &#8211; A traffic ranking site that shows you the top most visited websites on the net classified by countries and categories. You can also see your traffic rank on other countries using this site plus the most keyword that the site is known of.</li>
</ul>
<p><span id="more-1290"></span></p>
<div id="attachment_1291" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 601px"><img class="size-full wp-image-1291" title="my-traffic" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/my-traffic.jpg" alt="Traffic Sources from G.A." width="591" height="134" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Traffic Sources from G.A.</p></div>
<p>Now, as you can see on the image above, which is taken from Google Analytics it shows that most of my traffic are from search engine (73.24%) then referring sites (22.56%) and got less direct traffic (4.19%). Well with this data, it shows that the domain name that I choose for <a href="http://www.bleuken.com/">my personal blog</a> is not that easy to remember but it also shows that my search engine optimization effort works. <img src='http://www.bleuken.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>Its really annoying if you visit a site then it really loads slow. What if you own that site well of course you don&#8217;t want your readers / visitors to &#8216;suffer&#8217; this way. Do you know that search engine might consider the load speed later to be part of their ranking factor? (read: <a href="http://www.bleuken.com/2009/11/16/new-google-ranking-factor-2010-siteload-speed/">New Google Ranking Factor in 2010: Site Load Speed</a>, for more information regarding this issue.) That&#8217;s right they are planning to consider that later next year and you should be ready for that. If you site has a low grade of E or D on YSlow or on any Speedtest then you should consider taking measures to make the experience of your users much better.</p>
<p>Here are some of tips that you might consider to be implemented on your site to cope with this situation:<br />
<span id="more-1281"></span></p>
<ol>
<li>If you are using WordPress, install page caching plug-ins such as <a rel="external nofollow" href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/" target="_blank">Super Cache</a> and/or <a rel="external nofollow" href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/db-cache-reloaded/" target="_blank">DB Cache</a>. This WP plug-ins create a static equivalent of your dynamic web pages making it to load fast and decreases CPU and server/disk usage on your hosting.</li>
<li>Use small graphics. Utilize JPG/JPEG format images. It is known to have higher quality and compression rate compared to other file format.</li>
<li>Minimize the use of widgets or site enhancement that uses Javascripts.</li>
<li>Set expiration dates for your graphics, CSS and other files. This will minimize request loads for the site for revisiting visitors.</li>
</ol>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div id="attachment_1229" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 138px"><img class="size-full wp-image-1229" title="404-error-notfound" src="http://www.bleuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/404-error-notfound.jpg" alt="Custom 404 Tips" width="128" height="128" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Custom 404 Tips</p></div>
<p>There are some cases that visitors or even you misspelled URLs from your site when they try to visit a specific page on your website. Sometimes they use from other site that point to non-existing page or posts from your blogs or website. This happens when you delete a page or rename the permalink or URL of a page. This usually results to a 404 <a href="http://www.bleuken.com/search/error/">error</a> response from your server or a &#8220;Error Not Found&#8221; page which is a blank page with a large text: &#8220;Error 404 &#8211; Not Found.&#8221; It will be like a dead end for your readers.</p>
<p>Now, for better user experience, you could customize the 404 page that will be involved for responding to this kind of situation. If you are using WordPress as your CMS for your site, the 404 page is usually part of the theme of the site which you can easily customize by editing it on the theme editor found on the dashboard. The filename is usually 404.php or 404.html for non-Wordpress sites.</p>
<p>You can use the following Javascript from Google to the page to provide a search functionality and page suggestions plus URL fixer for the 404 page: (don&#8217;t forget to replace the <strong>GOOG_FIXURL_SITE</strong> value with the URL of your own site).<br />
<span id="more-1227"></span></p>
<pre>&lt;script type="text/javascript"&gt;
 var GOOG_FIXURL_LANG = 'en';
 var GOOG_FIXURL_SITE = 'http://www.bleuken/'
&lt;/script&gt;
&lt;script type="text/javascript"
 src="http://linkhelp.clients.google.com/tbproxy/lh/wm/fixurl.js"&gt;
&lt;/script&gt;</pre>
<p>Aside from this Javascript code, you can also list all the posts on your <a href="http://www.bleuken.com/tag/wordpress/">WordPress</a> blog using the following code:</p>
<pre>&lt;ul&gt;&lt;?php get_archives('postbypost', 1000); ?&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</pre>
<p>The code will list the 1000 posts of your site and if in case you have more than 1k, just replace it with your desired number.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t be satisfied with a plain 404 page and leave your visitors with nothing for a not found URL. Provide them with something through this suggested tweak or improvement on your &#8220;Error &#8211; not found&#8221; page.</p>
