I am not blogging about the newest update on WordPress turning to 3.0 or anything about the enhancements I made for my websites in a dedicated server to make it much faster than it does. I will try to discuss it later. For now, I want to share about how have a new day this opening of classes this June. I asked my boss (Department Head of CS) to make my employment status in school as part time from full-time.

Yeah, you read it right! I asked her to make me a part-time teacher of the school. It sounded like that I asked her to demote me . Why? It simply because I decided to focus more on my internet ventures and having an “overloaded passionate” (a little exaggeration with the phrase) teaching will just make me lost my focus on a much “greener pasture.”

But why just quit all the way and have a full-time focus on the said business? Well, I just still love teaching and really like to share a lot of stuff to new breed of hot blooded internet surfers aka young students and make them enlighten to the world of great beginning in making money online adventures. Aside from that, teaching makes me to learn new things and socialize to a lot of people offline. It is like a regular exercise routine for my brain cells and mouth muscles.

The advantages of my decision on focusing on my “work at home” business are – one, it let me spent more time with my family. Next it let me earn more than I should (compared to teaching and even to working abroad as an OFW) and finally it made me to take “rest” more than ever.

What I have now is just the beginning of a new day and I am very hopeful that my decisions would be according to what God have plan for me. I believe that everything that I have now – a great family, teaching career and a nice “work at home” business are all provided by the great God and I thank Him for that.

He is just correct to what he have said to me, “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you!” It happened!

I have this funny comment on my blog the other day saying that I should shut down or delete my website on the world wide web because I am not publishing his comments on my post. The problem is I don’t know what was his previous comment and I don’t know why he was so “annoyed” on not publishing his comments. Sad is that this guy is from somewhere in San Juan, Batangas or in Manila is a “kabayan.”

Now why I am not publishing some comments here or sometimes editing them before publishing? It is simply because I own this website and I have all the rights not to approve, publish or even edit comments that I find inappropriate to the site. I usually do this to spammy comments that passes the Akismet plug-in.

Aside from that its difficult to approve comments that are not using their real name and only leave comments to promote their products or services.

I don’t know what’s the problem with my “kabayan” who really wants his comment published. What’s with his comment anyway? I can’t even find it on the spam or trash folders.

Well, if not then you should find a way to know it. You can use the following websites / online tools to see how your visitors find your site and the origins of the traffic:

AwStats or Webalizer. It is usually provided by your hosting as part of your package. Some hosting set it on by default others requires you to enable them. Webalizer provides a detail and summary of the traffic from the country where they came from, entry/exit pages, search agents/sites used and event the response code of the site.

Google Analytics. This is a great analytic tool from Google that requires you to sign-up for an account and embed a javascript tracking code on every pages of your site. There’s a lot of segment and reports that you can generate and find from this traffic tool. You can even connect your Adsense account so that you can determine which of your sites earn better and what keyword or articles attracts more clicks and money.

Alexa – A traffic ranking site that shows you the top most visited websites on the net classified by countries and categories. You can also see your traffic rank on other countries using this site plus the most keyword that the site is known of.

Traffic Sources from G.A.

Now, as you can see on the image above, which is taken from Google Analytics it shows that most of my traffic are from search engine (73.24%) then referring sites (22.56%) and got less direct traffic (4.19%). Well with this data, it shows that the domain name that I choose for my personal blog is not that easy to remember but it also shows that my search engine optimization effort works.

Actually its difficult for me to have a celebration because I grew in a tradition and belief that prevent me to conduct a party. Here in the Philippines, we celebrate the All Souls Day (day of the dead) every 2nd of November and we usually go to the cemetery every year to pray for our loved ones. That’s right, everyone is lighting their candles in the cemetery during my birthday . My parents told me when I was young that we should celebrate the day solemnly for the respect of those who have passed away. This is the reason why I usually use this as a punch line every time my office mate is teasing me about having a party during my birthday. I always told them that to “just pray for me and please proceed to the cemetery with your candles.” This usually cracks a smile.

Well, it doesn’t matter if I will have a party or not. The most important thing is God have given me another year to live and to do things in his name and his glory. This is more than a party to thank for and what more could I ask for. I have what I want now, a family, a job + online career, a website that earns enough to what I expect and a good health. Maybe I will just ask for a car from Him next year.

The said qualification is composed of two exams or COC (certificate of competency). The first COC is the development of object oriented application which I use VB.Net 2008 to comply it. The second COC (which we actually took first prior to the OOP) was develop of application using procedural language where I used C language as my primary language.

Well, we did finish all the cases of the problem and was congratulated by our assessor as being “competent” for the said areas of expertise. This qualification is said to be a requirement for TESDA trainors teaching programming subject before they are allowed to teach. For more information regarding this qualification, you can visit TESDA.gov.ph.

What now? With the certificates from NCC and TESDA, I think I am qualified to work abroad but I will not. I love the Philippines and still want to serve my country as long as I can. Leaving the country is not the only option for me to find greener pastures. There are a lot of ways. I will use my skills and qualification for the improvement of my country, to serve it and my fellowmen.

I have mentioned on my previous post: Programming NCIV Here I Go, that I took the qualifying exam of TESDA which I thought a Programming NCIV qualification. I was wrong. It was an ICT proficiency exam by NCC (National Computer Center of the Philippines) which is required by TESDA for TVET trainers of Region 6 which I assumed as the said competency certification. This mean that I need to take the exam again from TESDA to acquire a level 4 qualification.

Now, regarding the ICT proficiency exam which is a two part test: 1 hour written exam and 6 hours hands-on problem in programming, I was informed last Friday by TESDA office in Iloilo and Capiz that I passed the exam. Not only that I’ve scored a high score, making me to top the exam in our province and the whole Region 6 (out of those who take the exam in the Region during that schedule). I was so happy when I’ve heard the news and almost jump for joy. I was expecting for the results for months now and really prayed to God to let Him give me this qualification. I believe that I need this one not for fame or what but for self-fulfillment.

This is the fruit of my hard work during school days and I thank God for giving me a clear mind and strength during that time. Now, TESDA endorse me to become one of the assessor of the Programming NCIV qualifying exam and will assess TVET trainers in Capiz and Iloilo later this month.

I have gathered several new free blog hosting sites that can be very useful in link building activities. Several techniques are currently used by the challengers of this competition and it seems that their techniques for fast ranking were working. At first data centers of G, were syncronizing in almost seconds of delay for the said mentioned key phrase (eriuqs spires healthy recreation) but later after different blows of inbound links coming through the entries of different participants of the eriuqs spires healthy recreation, the delay on refresh on all the data centers are becoming more longer compared to the previous refresh rate.

Aside from this technical issues about SEO, due to this topic and exchanged ideas with the participants, I have learned the value of health and the path that we are walking on search engine optimization. Success can’t be achieved if health is not valued properly and I have realized (because of this event) that I really need to have a program for my self to improve my current lifestyle. Health is really indeed wealth so I need to be healthy to perform well on my SEO campaigns. Thank you to this eriuqs spires healthy recreation and I am enlightened!

The qualification is required by TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) to schools that offers technical courses such as the ladderized Computer Science course. Next year, teachers in TESDA schools will not be allowed to teach computer subjects if they will not pass any of the certification required by TESDA. That’s why I need to take the qualification exam for me to still teach the programming subjects. This qualification is called Programming NC IV (National Certification Level 4). Actually, I already passed the PCO NCII qualification and the Assessors course last year and I hope this level 4 qualification will add up to my list of credentials.

The said examination is composed of two types of exams. One is the 3 hours written exam and 6 hours hands-on programming examination. According to TESDA, NCC (National Computer Center of the Philippines) will be the one who will conduct the said exam. These event is the reason why I will be out for a couple of days. Actually the said Programming NCIV competency exam is only one day but I need to be on the testing center 30 minutes before the exam and since its in Iloilo, I need to stay there a day before the test. So, this afternoon I will be riding and will travel the long road to Iloilo and will look for a place to stay there for two nights and prepare myself for the exam.

I wasn’t able to review topics that might be on the written exam and been idle with my programming skills lately because of SEO coming to picture in my life. When I was younger, even I don’t have any programming projects, I still create programs using C Language and Visual Basic just for fun. I don’t know if I could still recall those days when I am building a chess program. I hope so and I hope that I am equipped enough to pass the said test of programming skills and knowledge. Ready or not, TESDA’s Programming NCIV examination here I go!

Update: Someone told me, “You passed!” Weeh…

As you can see, Bleuken.com has a simple new and professional look now. I am still revising the WordPress theme so that it can provide several features such as sticky post and featured articles. I am also working on the Keyword Luv plug-ins to work with the current theme since I found out it is not compatible with the current theme. I am also planning to put a twitter widget on the sidebar so that the blog can contain 120 letters of update whenever I feel to write a short text of update. I made several tweaks on the Super Cache plug-in so that I could avoid the “internal server error phenomena” that I’ve encountered the other week due to the spike of traffic of the site.

Currently, I am joining a “eriuqs spires healthy recreation” and two of my eriuqs spires healthy recreation entries added to my reasons of delaying the other changes on the site. This is the reason why those mentioned features where not yet applied. I might wait for the said event to conclude before I apply other changes I’ve stated.

Do you have any suggestions that you would like me to include to my blog update? Any recommendation will be considered a great help. Just leave your comments and I will try to apply it if I think the suggestion will bring benefit to the site.

People have set their plans for this month and I made my list too. First thing is about my plan in going to Boracay Island this coming weekend. This is actually part of the annual vacation treat from the organization where I am currently working on the day. Because of this, by next week you can’t see any traces of me touching the keyboard of my PC. However, you will definitely see several lovely pictures here from the said paradise island of the Philippines after our few days of relaxation under the sand while lying in the white sands of one of the popular tourist destination of the country.

My next activity that is on my list is playing chess in the biggest chess event ever organized by the Capiz Chess Association, Inc. called “Duso… Oras na!” which will commence this coming May 9, 2009. I am not practicing yet and actually don’t know if I could still find time for it. However, despite my unpreparedness I will still play the said 25-minutes chess game. For the information of everyone, the said tournament will be participated by different calibre of chess players from different part of the country. The said chess tourney in Capiz is supported by the Capiz provincial government under Gov. Vic Tanco and the office of Sen. Mar “Mr. Palengke” Roxas sanctioned by the Philippine Chess Federation while CCA, Inc. will organize this event.

Now the next on my list are the different search engine optimization (SEO) activities that I will be focusing for the whole summer. SEO projects which is my first priority plus I will give a little as in a small amount of time for some SEO contests. The contest that I am referring to is the “eriuqs spires healthy recreation” and the “sulumits retsambew.” I might give a shot on eriuqs spires healthy recreation contest but I doubt it if I will give more time on the other competition. Currently, my entries for the said SEO contests are on page one after I made the post. I am not doing anything special yet for the said entries because I am prioritizing the official job assigned to me by a client. Well that’s the right thing to do and despite that I am really eager to win the said competitions, I need to give it up for the clients’ sake.

How about you, what will you do this Summer 2009? Do you have anything on mind? Don’t hesitate to leave your comments here.
