I actually don’t use Friendster frequently. It is because I am not fond of posting my “not so nice” photos and posting testimonials to other people (maybe because I am not bolero or I am too old for this). But I think I will change my mind about this not because my looks improves on photographs already or I like someone on friendster and I need to leave a message for her. The reason is that I found out that Friendster now uses Wordpress as its blogging engine. Yes that’s right! I have learned about this when my student told me about this (as I said I am not using it) just this afternoon. Since I really love Wordpress and the convenience it gives in blogging and customizing its appearance, having it in Friendster changes my views on about the famous social networking site in Asia.
Another nice improvement on the blogging features of Friendster blogs is the clean and personalize URL / web address of your blog. Usually they use a sub-folder with underscore URL name of your blog but now it has a nice yournick.blog.friendster.com address, which is easy to remember rather than the previous naming convention in URL address. Bloggers from all over Asia (specially in the Philippines) will surely become more visible in Friendster blogs this year.
