Jetour has been on a roll in the Philippines, and it isn’t slowing down. A day after the F700 PHEV pickup story broke, the brand’s local distributor United Asia Automotive Group (UAAGI) announced that the adventure-ready G700 TopFire is coming to Philippine showrooms, with reservations now open at Jetour GAIA Space North EDSA and BGC. If you’ve been eyeing a luxury plug-in hybrid SUV that can actually leave the pavement, this is worth a closer look.

What is the Jetour G700 TopFire?

The G700 TopFire is a factory-customized, expedition-ready version of the Jetour GAIA G700 — the flagship PHEV SUV that landed in the Philippines back in April 2026 at P4.488 million. Think of it as the G700 with a serious off-road makeover done by Jetour itself, not by some aftermarket shop.

UAAGI Chairman Rommel Sytin confirmed the TopFire is on its way, and interested buyers can already reserve one. The TopFire gets a bolder front end with a unique grille for better cooling, an off-road-style bumper, a ventilated hood, enhanced off-road chassis tuning, improved ground clearance, wider tracks, and high-performance nitrogen shock absorbers with adjustable suspension. Fender flares, side steps, forged alloy wheels, and a multi-function roof rack round out the package — all wearing an unmistakable TopFire decal.

G700 TopFire specs at a glance

The G700 sits on a body-on-frame platform — the same ladder-frame construction as a proper off-roader — and its powertrain is serious hardware, not just showroom talk.

Safety and driver assistance run on Huawei ADS hardware — five millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The G700 is also one of only two vehicles in the world with a built-in oxygen generator, aimed at high-altitude driving.

What others are saying

AutoIndustriya broke the TopFire confirmation on August 11, noting that the enhanced off-road chassis, adjustable nitrogen shocks, and wider tracks are designed to cope with all kinds of terrain. Reservations, it said, are already being accepted at Jetour GAIA Space North EDSA or BGC.

At the G700’s Philippine launch in April, Manila Times summarized the pitch neatly: 904 PS, off-road tech, and a P4.488 million price tag for the range-topping GAIA PHEV. CarGuide.PH covered the same launch, highlighting that the G700 was Jetour’s first model under its premium GAIA sub-brand and that the automaker chose Quezon City for its first dedicated dealership.

The G700 also earned its off-road credentials early. In October 2025, it became the first SUV to cross a 1.5 km stretch of the Yangtze River in China — a publicity stunt, sure, but one that showcased the 900 mm wading capability and amphibious-adjacent sealing. CarNewsChina’s launch coverage confirmed the 892 hp (904 PS) figure and the 1,400 km combined range claim on the Chinese market’s CLTC cycle.

Price in the Philippines

Here’s the catch — there’s no official G700 TopFire price yet. What we do know is the standard G700 GAIA PHEV retails at P4,488,000, and the TopFire’s factory off-road kit will almost certainly push it higher once UAAGI announces pricing.

Market Price
Philippines (G700 GAIA PHEV, SRP) P4,488,000
USD equivalent ~$73,800
INR equivalent ~Rs 70.3 lakh

Conversions use roughly 60.8 PHP/USD and 95.3 INR/USD as of August 2026. For context, the G700 launched in China from 329,900 to 414,900 yuan — about $46,300 to $58,200 — so the Philippine SRP carries a notable premium, same story as most imported Chinese PHEVs here.

How it stacks up against rivals

At this price point, the G700’s competition isn’t the budget EV crowd — it’s other luxury plug-in SUVs and boxy off-roaders.

Model Type Price (PHP) Notes
Jetour G700 GAIA PHEV Full-size PHEV SUV P4,488,000 904 PS, 900 mm wading
Denza B5 Mid-size PHEV SUV (4WD) P3,798,000 659 hp, 975 km combined
Denza B8 Large PHEV SUV (4WD) P4,998,000 – P5,398,000 7 seats, luxury trim
GAC GN8 PHEV MPV PHEV P3,338,000 Different body style
GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T Full-size off-road PHEV TBA (upcoming) Direct off-road rival

If you want a gas-powered reference point, the Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class sits at around P4.59 million. The G700 is a very different kind of luxury — rugged, tech-heavy, and unapologetically Chinese-built, but with a spec sheet that punches well above its price in raw capability. It’s also a very different proposition from the full-electric VinFast VF 8 that got DOE recognition this week — the G700 is a plug-in, not a pure EV, so it answers a different set of questions. If you’re looking for a seven-seat people mover instead, the GAC GN8 PHEV I covered a few weeks ago is the family-focused alternative.

Is the G700 TopFire right for Filipino buyers?

City driving

Honest answer: this is not a small car. At 5.2 meters long and 2 meters wide, the G700 demands a parking spot with room to spare — think Bonifacio High Street parking over a cramped Makati basement. The flip side is that in EV mode it’s silent and instant-off-the-line, which makes EDSA stop-and-go far more civilized than it has any right to be. The 100 km electric range covers a typical Metro Manila daily commute without touching fuel. Still, if your daily reality is tight U-turns and compact malls, this is more vehicle than you need.

Long-distance travel

This is where the G700 shines. A combined range of up to 1,000 km WLTC means Manila to Baguio, to Laoag, or even down to Naga without a single fuel stop, let alone a charging stop. The 2,500 kg towing capacity opens up boat trailers and provincial hauls. On long provincial roads, the adjustable air suspension and double-wishbone setup soak up the potholes better than most vehicles sold here — the same quality that YugaAuto and other outlets praise about the growing hybrid segment.

Flooded streets

This is the G700’s party trick. A 900 mm wading depth is extraordinary — most crossovers manage 200-300 mm, and even hardcore pickups like the Chery Stockman offer around 247 mm. When monsoon rains flood EDSA underpasses and provincial roads, a G700 can cross water that would strand almost everything else. The caveat: 900 mm is well above the wheel center, so this is a controlled, low-speed wading capability — not a license to plow through rushing water. The wading mode with intelligent scrubbing disc and the sealed body-on-frame construction make it the most flood-confident vehicle in its class here.

High temperatures

The G700 runs a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which is inherently more heat-stable than the NMC chemistry used in many EVs — a meaningful plus in a country that regularly hits 36-38°C. The 800V architecture with battery pre-heating and an underbody shield adds another layer of thermal and physical protection. And because it’s a PHEV, the engine can take over when battery thermal management needs a break, so you’re never left stranded in the heat.

Bottom line

The Jetour G700 TopFire is shaping up to be the most capable plug-in SUV you can reserve in the Philippines right now. It’s big, it’s expensive, and it’s not for everyone — but if your checklist includes serious off-road hardware, flood confidence, and enough range to forget charging exists, there isn’t much else like it on sale locally.

The standard G700 GAIA starts at P4,488,000, and the TopFire will command a premium on top of that once pricing drops. If that budget is realistic for you, the reservations at Jetour GAIA Space North EDSA and BGC are already open.
